Meet Alexis

Hi — I’m Alexis Jette, LICSW, MSW. I’m a licensed independent clinical social worker in private practice based in Lexington, Massachusetts, and I’m honored to walk alongside adults and teens in their healing journey.

I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, compassionate, and deeply personal. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change — even when healing feels difficult or out of reach.

My Clinical Approach

My practice is centered on evidence-based care with a special focus on:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)

I also have extensive experience supporting individuals coping with anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use, trauma, and complex life stressors. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities to tailor treatment to your unique needs, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, written exposure therapy, and prolonged exposure therapy when appropriate. One of my special interests is working with adolescents and families. As a parent of two teenagers myself, I understand firsthand the joys and complexities of raising young people in today’s world.

A Holistic Perspective

In addition to my work as a therapist, I have over a decade of experience supporting new families as an Independently Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). This background has deepened my understanding of life transitions, identity shifts, stress, and the emotional complexities that often accompany major changes.

What You Can Expect

Clients often describe my style as warm, collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded. I believe therapy is a partnership — and together, we will work to create meaningful, sustainable change. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to schedule a consultation to see if my practice feels like a good fit for you.

It is vital for therapists to be transparent about our practices. All of my systems are fully HIPAA-compliant to protect client information to the highest standards possible. I intentionally choose not to use AI to assist me in writing notes, nor is there any AI presence/recording in my virtual or in-person therapeutic spaces.
